The letter to the Ephesians, written by the Apostle Paul, outlines the believer’s identity “in Christ” and the resulting practical life of unity, holiness, and spiritual warfare. It emphasizes that salvation is by grace through faith, forming a new, diverse family in Christ (Jews and Gentiles) reconciled to God and each other, with instructions for daily life and spiritual victory. This family, the Church, is endowed with special giftings to foster growth and unity, in preparation for Christ’s return. We will look at the practical application of Paul’s recommendations to the Ephesians, for our lives in the 21st century.
