Jonathan De Keyzer was born in 1975 in Ghent.
He was raised to love art and music.
As a little boy his parents took him to art fairs, exhibitions and concerts.
His studies in interior architecture at Sint-Lucas in Ghent led to his love of photography.
By a happy coincidence he got the chance to travel around the world as a documentary photographer with the Canadian rock band Your Favorite Enemies.
 
Themes that characterise his work are :
Movement, stillness, relaxation, peace in chaotic situations. He finds it important that you, as a spectator, come to rest through his works, that you embrace this feeling and take it home with you.
By sometimes applying multiple exposures per picture, he creates different interesting layers and pictures within pictures.
